Lisa Rodman, CEO of the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation (AHLF) interviews Andrew Vergeer from Go Green Aquaponics. GoGreen Aquaponics is a local business in Escondido, North County providing a one-stop-shop for all things aquaponics – supplies, custom systems, and most importantly, education.

Aquaponics is a combination of aquaculture (farming fish) and hydroponics (growing plants in nutrient solution). The many benefits of Aquaponics include: sustainable farming, small-scale agriculture, local organic farming, year-round farming, and education – aquaponics is a great way to teach biology, physics, and sustainability. GoGreen Aquaponics is getting ready to install a new custom-built system at the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation to be used as a tool in our STEAM learning programs
